Do you take all firearms?

Not at the moment, but we will in the near future. We currently do not accept any Explosives or Class III firearms, such as fully automatic, short barreled, sawed off shotguns, suppressors.  When we are able to accept Class III items, the website will be updated.  We also do not handle any firearms or parts that are illegal to own by an individual in most states.

How do I dispose of a gun?

So many people ask this question.  If you have old firearms and have no clue what to do with them, we can pick them up at no charge and dispose of them properly.

04.

Destroyed Firearms

If a firearm is required to be DESTROYED, the firearm is stripped of all working parts and the serialized receiver is severed into 3 separate pieces with an oxy acetylene torch, per BATF regulations.  This insures the firearm can never be reassembled.  The working parts are sold to cover our expenses.

You never want to put your old bullets or shotgun shells into the garbage. If they were to go to a landfill, they could become very dangerous. A fire in the landfill could cause the ammunition to fire once the primer or powder inside heats up. Why Ammo Disposal is Important?

If you are a gun enthusiast, then there’s a chance that you have some old ammunition lying around.

Perhaps the casing has a crack in it, and you don’t want to take the chance of firing it.  It could damage the gun or cause personal injury.  Maybe you have a few boxes of old ammunition that you simply forgot about and now you need to dispose of it properly.  Shotgun shells and bullets aren’t something that you should simply throw into the garbage though.  You probably have a need for an ammo disposal service.

Safer for the Environment

Improper disposal of ammunition has potential environmental, health and safety risks.

The proper disposal of old or unwanted ammunition can save lives by preventing it from getting into the hands of young children, and can also help protect the environment by keeping lead and other contaminants from seeping into the groundwater.

The best option is to contact Guns & Ammo Disposal. We will take unused ammunition and then dispose of it properly.
